Jan 28, 2020:
Dear Pencil Parents,
We hope you are all warm and healthy! As you may have heard, there is a new coronavirus that originated in China, and has made its way to Canada. During these times, it is imperative that we take appropriate preventative measures to protect our students, parents, and teachers.
To do our part in proactively protecting our students and our staff, Pencil Studio commits to the following:
All the common areas and frequently touched surfaces will be sanitized;
Aprons and sleeves will be washed regularly;
Encouraging hand washing even more frequently than usual!!!
Students who exhibit flu symptoms may be asked to stay home, with no deduction from their class packages.
We kindly request that all Pencil students and/or family member who have returned from a holiday trip to China to please take a break from Pencil classes for a minimum of 14 days (the incubation period for this virus). And as always, we ask that you do not come to class or camp if your children are feeling unwell. Our class credits are flexible, and missed camp days can also be used as credit in the future.
